Great! An old MTV's Most Wanted moment!!!
The funny thing is, I can't remember this for the life of me. I do remember being on Most Wanted occasionally with Ray Cokes, but this particular incidence I completely forgot (together with about 90% of my MTV years...)
Great to watch back though. And I think what shines through is that Ray and I have always gotten on so well. And then there is the mention of playing truth of dare with Steve Blame. I remember sitting under a blanket in a park in Berlin after a particular heavy night out with Steve Blame and playing truth or dare. The truths that would come out of Steve Blame's mouth always trumped everyone else's. The guy is a shocker! (in the good sense of the word)
Oh....I just noticed...it's the 14th of May. Steve Blame is performing with a punk band tonight somewhere in Germany. I tell you, that man never ceases to amaze me. He's such a lovely oddball. Blow up the soundsystem Steve!!!! I'm thinking of you....

Two more old school MTV pictures....
Here I am hanging out with MTV's most wanted crew (the lovely Ray Cokes, Naughty Nina, etc.) & of course with Lisa I'Anson and Take That's Garry Barlow after one of the MTV Europe Awards.
Interviewing Liam Gallagher at Glastonbury many, many years ago. And yes, he is a dumb as he looks in this picture (I'm sure I wasn't even asking him a hard question ; )

Email from Ray Cokes!
I've been trying to get hold of Ray Cokes for ages now & am happy to report that I am finally back in contact with him. He's doing well and is promising me an update on his life to post here soon.
In the meantime, I am bugging him to start a daily vlog (video blog). Wouldn't he be brilliant at that? I'd watch it. I can just see Ray do silly stuff like this:
To see what other Vlogs are out there, check out the Vloggies Awards website & Rocketboom (just as one example of a daily vlog). I love all this stuff.

Ray Cokes & Duran Duran on MTV's Most Wanted
This clip shows why Ray Cokes was and always will be 'Mister MTV'. His show 'MTV's Most Wanted' was totally unique. No one had ever made a television show as crazy as that. And the 'Most Wanted' crew became minor celebrities themselves as Ray included them in the show constantly. Many copied his presenting style (especially Chris Evans) & to this day I do not understand how Ray could have disappeared from the screens like that.
